Discover Marrakech with an Experienced Tour Guide
As a dedicated Marrakech tour guide, I am passionate about helping travelers fully immerse themselves in the rich culture and history of Morocco, particularly in the enchanting city of Marrakech. With over 30 years of guiding experience, I consider this my true calling. Guiding in Marrakech is both a privilege and a challenge; this vibrant city is arguably the most exotic in Morocco, renowned for its fascinating history, stunning gardens, and artistic heritage.
Marrakech serves as a crossroads for diverse cultures, including Berbers, Jews, Nomads, Touaregs, Andalusians, Arabs, and Africans. I believe that to truly experience the essence of this dynamic city, visitors should seek out its spirit. An effective tour guide must feel the soul of Marrakech. I am deeply connected to this city and genuinely passionate about sharing its wonders. This profound bond allows me to help tourists fully engage with Marrakech, enabling them to see, hear, smell, and taste everything it has to offer.
Marrakech is a captivating city, and its beauty is best experienced with a local expert—an official tour guide who understands its unique essence. My love for Marrakech has been with me since childhood. Born in the heart of the Medina, the historic old town, I grew up on Derb Dabachi, the street closest to the famous Jamaa El Fna square.
In preparation for my role as a tour guide, I have extensively studied the history, geography, architecture, ethnic groups, and arts of Morocco, with a particular focus on Marrakech. Over the past three decades, I have had the honor of guiding countless tourists through this magnificent pink city, where the skyline is defined by buildings that cannot rise higher than a palm tree.
Initially, it was challenging for me to understand Marrakech, as the city kept many of its secrets hidden. However, driven by a desire to explore, I persevered. Nestled at the base of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech is the capital of southern Morocco and serves as a vibrant multicultural trade hub. Its rich history has attracted various dynasties, even when it wasn’t the capital.
As the first major city north of the Sahara, Marrakech thrives on tourism while its economy is further supported by local artisan exports. The city is famous for its unique metal furniture, intricately painted and carved wood, exquisite jewelry, high-quality leather goods, aromatic spices, and beautiful Berber weavings. With an abundance of hotels and riads, Marrakech's central location and diverse scenery also make it a popular destination for film productions, including commercials and feature films like The Mummy and The Man Who Knew Too Much.
My expertise has been shaped by valuable experiences working alongside various travel agents and guides, both Moroccan and foreign, from different regions of the world. This phase lasted about ten years before I began accompanying tourists throughout Morocco.
My journey as a guide became even more significant when I started working with VIP and top-tier clients, primarily from the United States. Over the past 13 years, I have gained recognition at the American Embassy in Rabat, where I’ve had the privilege of guiding numerous American guests, including U.S. ambassadors and officials from the U.S. Department of State.
Throughout my career, I have guided many distinguished individuals, including senators, prominent Americans in economics, politics, and the arts, as well as professors from prestigious universities, chairpersons of major banks, and successful businesspeople. I am proud to be recommended by notable publications such as Forbes and the Jerusalem Post. Additionally, I specialize in Jewish heritage in Morocco, having guided many rabbis and lawyers from various Jewish communities across the United States.

Morocco is still the most vivid and wonderful memory. Much of the reason it was such a good trip was that you gave so generously of yourself to show us your country. Your wit and your erudition made the visit there special for us all.
